The uppermost layer consists of 2 inches of high quality conforming gel foam, which decreases pressure response. But, what is unique about this layer is its special swirl technology,which evenly distributes the cooling gel throughout the mattress. The makers also laminated an extra gel layer on the top, providing additional relief to the user’s lower back area (i.e., the lumbar region).
The compression layer, found beneath the gel foam layer, is specifically designed to contour your body to the curves. It is made of high-density Visco elastic memory foam, which, when combined with the first layer, provides a good amount of pressure relief.
A slab of polyfoam under the compression layer works as the transitional layer to give the sleeper a sense of support while in the lying-down position.
